How To Get Six Pack Abdominals


The best way to develop six pack abdominals is not with traditional ab specific exercises like crunches.

Working your abs with full body, multi-joint exercises is the best way to get muscular abs. You can burn away your tummy fat with this type of workout, since it increases your metabolic rate.

You can strengthen and tone your abdominals with crunches, but this type of exercise doesn’t  burn fat. These exercises especially don’t remove a type of fat called visceral fat. Visceral fat is found under our ab muscles and gives us that beer belly physique.

Visceral fat can only be removed by increasing your metabolism using full body exercises. Front squats are a good example of a metabolic boosting and entire body workout. You can increase your metabolism further by increasing the intensity of front squats by using weights like dumbbells.

You can perform squats with weights by first standing erect holding the dumbbells just below your chin and against your chest. Keep your chin up for proper alignment betwenn your neck and spine. Make sure that you keep your elbows in front of your body. Bend your hips and knees to go to a squatting position. While squatting, keep your buttocks above the level of your knees. Also, keep your knees behind your toes. Return to the starting position after a count of three.

You can also do renegade dumbbell rows, floor mountain climbers and lunges for a high intensity, entire body workout. Routinely performing the full body exercises] combined with eating a proper diet is the key to getting six pack abs. This technique is superior to just developing toned muscles on top of fat.

Nutrition is also important in developing six pack abdominals.

If you keep eating junk food, you will never be able to develop six pack abdominals. To get that lean,
muscular look that you desire, the combination of full body workouts and a healthy diet must be part of your
strategy.

Basically, using traditional ab workouts, diet pills and ab machines just won’t get you that six pack abdominal that you desire. Your strategy must include a combination of intense, entire body workouts with a well designed diet plan to burn away that tummy fat.
