How To Burn Flab, Not Time
I get sick of getting these emails with the revolutionary fat loss programs that are supposed to melt flab fast, and all they are is slow cardio routines. The truth is that traditional cardio workouts suck and they waste time and they aren’t going to help you. Reveal your cardio experiences in the weight loss forum.
There’s another thing that shows how much working with intervals can actually help get flab burned off.To illustrate what I’m talking about, you need to consider research that had people powering a bicyle at a two-thirds capacity speed for a one-hour period.
These compared with performing a half hour period followed by a 1/3 hour rest, repeating the half-hour biking. Both of these rides were at the same intensity as the first. After alll the data was in, the study revealed that the same amount of calories were burned in bothe workout sessions.
What was also proven, however, was that the group that split up the hour of biking burned about 50% more fat in the after math.
So, what is the signifcance of this? Not much. To begin with, neither one of these approaches would do as much good as a 1/3 hour of interval training. Cardio will not promote rapid weight loss.
Another thing is that I can’t see anyone wanting to work out this way. Besides, it takes more time.If you’re able to comprehend that even with that kind of percentage difference, that we’re probably talking about a caloric differential of fifty or so.
So, what do you make of it when you see people at the gym sitting there for 1/3 of an hour between their traditional aerobic routines so that they can burn those few extra calories in between?
I don’t have the time to sit around reading magazines that long, do you? I want you to know that traditional cardio is totally worthless: even the studies that are supposed to promote cardio prove what I’m saying is true. Only intervals will help you lose 20 pounds.
