Give Your Exercise Routine A Helping Hand
You can’t swing a mouse round the internet these days without hitting some fad or another claiming you can lose inches/pound etc with their latest fitness craze. We’re constantly been bombarded with images of glamorous looking celebrities whilst being warned of the health dangers of being overweight. Of course everybody knows that if any of these fads and diets actually worked the others would soon disappear and global obesity pandemics would be gone too. At the end of the day common sense has to prevail. To maintain a healthy lifestyle all that’s needed is a sensible diet and regular exercise. Although there’s is no magic pill or secret answer the truth is there are some things that can make this lifestyle choice a little easier.
Whole body vibration is sometimes seen as another new craze to aid weight loss. The concept was first examined about five decades ago by Russian scientists during the space race. The muscles tone naturally as they’re exposed to 40 – 60 rapid vibrations per second. Each of the vibrations from vibration training causes the muscle to contract which in turn strengthens them. The process is similar to the way your toes curl when you wear flip flops, it happens automatically. The involuntary muscle contraction uses the same principle. Effectively each muscle contracts dozens of times per second without causing stain on the joints. When compared to doing sit ups, using a vibration trainer can be much more effective. Each exercise will work on one specific set of muscles at a time.
By combining vibration training with your regular exercise you’re most likely to get the best results. Exercising whilst on a vibration trainer would have the best results. In theory you could sit on it watching TV and it would still have a positive effect on your muscles. This means that a vibrating plate is the perfect exercise solution for anyone who finds the gym a bit of a slog. Like any form of exercise, if using a vibrating plate it should be done on a regular basis to build up the muscles stamina and resistance.
