Exercise For Love Handles – If Side Bends Don’t Work – What Will?


There are many web sites and articles out there that promise to reveal how to shed fat from your love handles. The fact is most of it’s crap. Designed to sell you some crap diet or some pills.

The usual suspect in the exercise for love handles category is the good old side bend. Grab a broom handle and hold it high, then bend from side to side. I wish! It would be nice if they actually worked.

They rarely work because you are trying to target just one small area. This is very difficult if not impossible. You’ll always get the smart ass telling you they do work. They will work if you incorporate them with an all round system.

If you do side bends as part of a thorough workout then they will work. If you have a healthy diet as well as a good workout system you will see far better results. It’s a well known (but ignored) fact that to lose weight you simply need to consume less energy than you burn off.

Consuming energy means eating it, usually food. Burning energy means using it internally like a fuel, usually done by exercise. You can burn energy off (exercise) with any form of activity.

Could be any of these…walking, sex, swimming, jogging or even err … sex again! Any form of exercise is better than no form of exercise. The reason a lot of us are overweight is we eat food that is stuffed with calories. Then we fail to burn those calories off.

You can exercise for your love handles all you want but if you ignore other areas you will simply get nowhere fast. If you are a naturally lazy person (like me) then swimming is probably your best all round exercise. If you have access to a pool, use it. The benefits are immense.

I personally turn my nose up at jogging. I see no point in spending hours in pain and shortening the life of your knees. I believe the guy who brought us jogging keeled over and died while out jogging. He was discovered by 2 smokers walking past. Irony eh?
